Chelsea Worry ‘FIFA Virus’ Forced Kante to Miss Six Games In October

Chelsea worried N’Golo Kante missed the Champions League game against Roma this month Kante suffered a hamstring injury while defending France in World Cup qualifying.

The midfielder was forced out of the field in the 34th minute when France won against Bulgaria on Sunday morning (8/10) and is now being examined by Chelsea’s medical team. Kante’s early prediction will miss two to three weeks, meaning he can not play against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

He is also expected to be absent at home to Roma on 19 October and return to play on his way to the Italian capital on November 1st. However, until now there has been no confirmation from the Chelsea how long the former Leicester City will be absent.

Drinkwater’s debut is stunted

Kante’s injury by the Telegraph is worse than his team-mate Alvaro Morata. The Spanish striker is expected to perform at Roma at Etihad on Thursday (19/10).

Kante’s absence means Antonio Conte relies on his new players Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas in midfield against Palace. While Danny Drinkwater is still recovering from an injury that hampered his debut for Chelsea this season.

Conte also needs to check Willian’s condition after the forward appears as a substitute for Brazil on Wednesday (11/10) and will be late returning to London.

Morata via social media said he was ready to appear this week, but Chelsea did not want to risk against the Palace. Meanwhile, Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi fit after international duty with Belgium. Chances are both will perform with Pedro. (Source:
